Boone County Museum of History
Starting in 1937, The Boone County Museum of History was first organized by passionate citizens who saw the importance of preserving our county’s history. In 1968, a building was purchased to house, the artifacts collected and displayed to the public for the first time.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Pettit Chapel
Belvidere is the county seat of Boone County. The chapel was designed by master architect Frank Lloyd Wright as a memorial for Dr. William Pettit.
Illinois Arts Council Agency
IACA is a state agency created in 1965 by the Illinois General Assembly.  It is composed of 25 private citizen volunteers, along with a small paid staff who serve to support the arts organizations and programs throughout the state and approve grant funding.
Poplar Grove Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum
Dedicated to transportation history spanning between the years of 1903 – 1957, our museum is located on the Poplar Grove Airport (C77) in northern Illinois and features 12 acres of land that are occupied by several early 20th-century airplane hangars and automotive garages.
