Concerts in the Park

Since 1991 the BCAC has presented a free Summer Concerts in the Park series at several locations throughout Boone County.
Each summer we host 8 concerts at several locations throughout Boone County, where local residents gather to enjoy our Sunday concerts with a picnic, dancing, and a chance to see old friends and make new ones.
Concerts are FREE, but we rely on donations from ALL music lovers in addition to our support from the City of Belvidere.
The Mural Project

Join with the Boone County Arts Council and get involved with the Downtown Mural Project. Since 1997 when the original “Wall Dog Festival” was held, the BCAC has been creating professionally executed murals that celebrate the history and people of Belvidere and Boone County.
Fifth Grade Arts Festival – Support an Artist For A Day
The Fifth Grade Arts Festival brings all 5th graders at District 100, Immanuel Lutheran together for a full school day of arts enrichment. Since 2011, the students have spent the day with a variety of arts professionals which have included pottery, dance, theater, visual arts, creative writing, puppetry, and music.

The “Support an Artist For a Day” is one professional artist for a full school day’s instruction. Each October over 700 students will gather at the Community Building over three days to learn about art forms that are generally not part of their school curriculum.
Memorial Fund
The BCAC has established a fund to honor or commemorate the memory of special individuals. Administered by the Boone County Community Foundation, the income from this fund will be used to support the programming of the BCAC.
